    MISSION

    Joy A. Shabazz Center for Independent Living has been developed to facilitate growth toward self sufficiency by addressing the concerns and needs of persons with disabilities in the counties of Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham NC.
    “All persons with disabilities should have the same opportunities to become independent as all other citizens in this nation. The Joy A. Shabazz Center for Independent Living works to ensure that our struggle to function independently in this society is not impeded.”
